Concha French Toast with Nutella

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup half & half
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 4 conchas (Mexican Sweet Bread)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Nutella®, for servings
  • Mixed Berries, for servings
  • Powdered Sugar, for dusting


  • Step 1

    Mix eggs, half & half, salt and sugar together in a large bowl or dish pan.

  • Step 2

    Slice conchas into 1 inch slices. [Note: Best if the conchas are not too soft. Recommendation to leave out the night before.]

  • Step 3

    Place the concha slices in the egg mix making sure all sides are covered with the egg mix.

  • Step 4

    Add butter to a large skillet.

  • Step 5

    After butter has melted, place concha slices in the pan. Cook on each side unti egg mix is slightly brown and cooked though.

  • Step 6

    Remove from the pan, and place on a plate.

  • Step 7

    Spread ~2 tablespoons Nutella® over each slice. Top with mixed berries, and dust with powdered sugar. Sere immediately.
