No-Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Layer Bars

(1)
"Calling all Reese’s lovers: these peanut butter chocolate layer bars will blow your mind. My Halloween peanut butter cup stash is dwindling and so these peanut butter chocolate layer bars are saving my day. They’re basically no bake DIY Reese’s peanut butter cups in just a few steps! Picture a thick layer of peanut butter that has the same amazing texture that Reese’s do, along with a creamy layer of chocolate; these bars are outrageously addicting and a total crowd pleaser even though they’re so simple to make."

ingredients

  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 stick of melted salted butter

Method

  • Step 1

Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper or two layers of aluminum foil so that the bars can easily be lifted out of the pan.

  • Step 2

In a medium bowl, stir peanut butter, confectioner’s sugar, and graham cracker crumbs until well-combined.

  • Step 3

Pour mixture in lined pan, smoothing out mixture into an even layer. Let mixture set in refrigerator for 20 minutes.

  • Step 4

Melt chocolate chips in microwaveable bowl by heating in 30 second increments, stirring every increment, until melted. Add 2 heaping tablespoons of smooth peanut butter. Stir well. Pour chocolate mixture onto peanut butter mixture, spreading to create an even layer.

  • Step 5

Chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Lift bars out of pan, peeling back parchment paper or foil. Slice into desired-sized bars and take a bite of heaven. Best served at room temperature!

  • Step 6

Best if kept in an air-tight container and consumed in 4 days (which is obviously SO achievable!)
