California Yogurt Bowl

(2)

Recipe Intro From thefeedfeed

A few years ago, after moving from New York to Northern California, I started getting really into fruit. Citrus, in particular. It blew my mind that I could get dozens of varities of oranges, lemons and grapefruit at my local farmers market.

This simple yogurt bowl was a result of receiving weekly bags of tiny, sweet-tart mandarin oranges in my weekly farm box. The combination of dates, orange and cardamom is common in Middle Eastern cuisines. It's also a flavor profile you'll see popping up on bakery menus throughout the Golden State, like the Cardamom-Date Scones from Botanica in Los Angeles.

This bowl features Just Date Syrup, a lovely addition to your pantry alongside maple syrup and Honey. I like to swirl it into oatmeal, sweeten drinks or drizzle on roasted vegetables.
