ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 jar of marinara sauce
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 20 jumbo shells
- 15 ounce package ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, more for sprinkling
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups spinach, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
- Pepper, to taste
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 F. Cook your pasta according to packaging.
Step 2
In a pan heat up olive oil. Add in ground turkey and cook until brown. Add in seasoning and marinara, reduce to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes. Once done add into a oven safe baking dish and spread evenly.
Step 3
In a bowl mix together ricotta, parmesan, mozzarella, egg, spinach and seasoning. Mix well.
Step 4
Stuff each shell with 1 tbsp of the filling and place on top of the meat sauce. Sprinkle with more cheese, cover and bake for 20 minutes.
