ingredients
- 9 sheets rice paper
- 2 tablespoons San-J No Soy Tamari
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Sichuan peppercorn powder
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 scallion, thinly sliced for garnish
- Cooked minced beef (optional), for garnish
Method
Step 1
Lightly oil a cutting board with a brush.
Step 2
Stack 3 sheets of rice paper, then dip them in cold water for a few seconds to soften.
Step 3
Place the softened rice paper on the oiled cutting board and cut it into ½-inch wide noodle strips. Transfer the noodles to a bowl of water to prevent sticking. Repeat with the remaining rice paper.
Step 4
Heat a wok over medium heat and lightly oil it. Add San-J No Soy Tamari, red chili powder, Sichuan peppercorn powder, hot water, and minced garlic. Stir to combine and heat until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.
Step 5
Drain the rice paper noodles and add them to the wok. Toss well to coat the noodles evenly in the sauce.
Step 6
Serve immediately, topped with sliced scallions and cooked minced beef, if desired.
