Recipe Card

ingredients

  • 2 boxes Annie’s Mac & Cheese, white cheddar preferred
  • 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 15-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 9 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup Annie's White Cheddar powdered cheese
  • fresh arugula, optional
  • fresh tomatoes, optional

Method

  • Step 1

    In a large saucepan, stir together crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, olive oil, basil & salt. Bring sauce to simmer and reduce to low heat for 15-20 min.

  • Step 2

    Boil pasta according to package directions.

  • Step 3

    Once sauce is thickened, add in cream and cheese and stir until combined.

  • Step 4

    Add in cooked pasta and stir over medium/low heat. 5. Serve topped with fresh arugula, cherry tomatoes, shaved parmesan cheese.
