ingredients

  • 1 teaspoons fresh yeast
  • 1/2 cups boiled water
  • 1 tablespoons fresh Sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh Multipurpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons fresh salt
  • 2 tablespoons large olive oil

Method

  • Step 1

    Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water.

  • Step 2

    Add sugar and mix the ingredients.

  • Step 3

    Wait for 15 minutes or until a foam forms on the top of the water.

  • Step 4

    In a bowl, add flour, salt, and olive oil and mix the ingredients.

  • Step 5

    Add then the yeast mixture and knead.

  • Step 6

    You may need a few tablespoons of water to form a soft dough, but make sure to add one tablespoon at a time.

  • Step 7

    If you want to flavor your crackers, divide the dough into equal balls and add the seasonings at this stage.

  • Step 8

    Knead to ensure the seasonings are spread across the dough balls.

  • Step 9

    Transfer the dough balls to a bowl brushed with oil.

  • Step 10

    Cover the dough and let rest for 20 minutes.

  • Step 11

    Roll the dough and start cutting as per your preference.

  • Step 12

    Prick the crackers using a fork if you want crunchy crackers.

  • Step 13

    Brush the crackers or spray them with olive oil.

  • Step 14

    Bake the crackers for 10 minutes to 12 minutes at 180 degrees.

    Once all crackers are baked, return them to the oven after turning them off and let them cool completely.
