"⛔ Major Misconception: ⛔ Vegetarian burgers are bland and dry with flavorless patties, lack of seasoning, and not-so-exciting toppings. This recipe is here to change that misconception- Kidney Bean Burgers are loaded with flavors. Almost all ingredients in this recipe can be swapped or skipped, as long as you attain the right consistency. And that's what makes these patties so versatile and fun!!"

ingredients

  • 400 grams kidney beans
  • 8 grams roughly chopped mushroms
  • 50 grams roughly chopped spinach
  • 1 small roughly chopped, red onions
  • 1 cups oats
  • 1 teaspoons paprika
  • to taste. salt
  • to taste. pepper
  • some cooking oil

Method

  • Step 1

Put all ingredients (except oats) in a food processor and process into a almost smooth texture.

  • Step 2

Divide the mixture into equal parts depending upon how big you want to make the patties. Form each portion into a round patty, firmly shaping and pressing the mixture together so that it does not fall apart.

  • Step 3

Roll the patties individually in a plate of oats, carefully covering both sides. The oats add a crunchy layer to the patties. (check footnotes)

  • Step 4

Cook these on a hot pan over medium-low heat, using a tsp of oil for each patties until they are browned on both sides. This usually takes about 3-5 minutes on each side. Serve warm!
