ingredients
- 150 gram rice noodles
- 500 milliliter water
- 3 julienned carrots
- 1 block tempeh
- 125 milliliter vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons tamari sauce
Method
Step 1
Cook noodles according to package directions.
Step 2
Dice the Tempeh and put it in a sauté pan with the water and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil.
Step 3
Reduce the heat, add the sesame oil, maple syrup and sesame seeds. Simmer for about ten minutes until the liquid is completely absorbed and the tempeh becomes slightly sticky.
Step 4
Deglaze with 2 tbsp. tablespoon tamari (or soy) sauce over high heat before serving.
Step 5
Place in a bowl or deep plate and garnish with the julienned carrots and cooked rice noodles (or any sides/toppings of your choice)
Step 6
Keep up to 3 days in the fridge in an airtight container.
