1 tbsp coconut oil (any oil works fine)whole cumin seeds (spiskummin in Swedish)1 tsp chana masala (recipe to make your own in comments)1 onion, chopped1 garlic clove, slicedSea salt, 1/2 tsp turmeric & 1 tsp coriander powder1 fresh tomato, chopped1/2 can crushed tomatoes240g chickpeas
Heat up oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
When they splatter add chana masala, onion & garlic. Fry until golden and add the fresh tomato & canned tomato.
Add chickpeas, sea salt, turmeric & coriander powder. Stir & let simmer for a while. Garnish with fresh coriander (if you wish & have it at home). Serve with basmati rice or naan.
