This bacon and egg sandwich with Land O Lakes® Deli American on an everything bagel screams New York City for us!
Oh how we love New York City! We used Land O Lakes® Yellow Deli American to make this BAE - Bacon, American and Egg on an everything bagel. It's all about the melty Land O Lakes® Deli American!
*Safe handling instructions to prevent illness from bacteria: keep eggs refrigerated, cook egg until yolks are firm and cook foods containing eggs thoroughly.
Heat a medium skillet over medium heat and add bacon. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until fat has rendered and the bacon is crisp. Remove bacon from pan and allow to drain on a tea towel or paper towel.
Drain off all but 1 tbsp of the bacon fat. To the same skillet, add eggs and season with salt and pepper. Cook eggs over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes, spooning hot bacon fat over the yolks to fully set the white, but preserving a runny yolk*.
Once egg whites have set, add Land O Lakes® Yellow Deli American and let melt. Remove from heat.
To build the sandwich, add 2 slices of bacon to the bottom half of each bagel. Add one egg to each bagel half, then divide avocado among each sandwich (if using). Add remaining bagel halves and serve.
