ingredients
- 5 pounds Short Ribs
- 1 cup Tamari
- 1 cup Chicken Bone Broth
- 2 tablepsoon White Wine Vinegar
- 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
- 1/2 tablespoon Ground Black Pepper
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
- 4 tablspoons Roasted Minced Garlic
- 1/2 cup diced Red Onion
- 1 tablespoon grated Fresh Ginger Root
- 2 tablepsoon Gochujang (can be subbed with half red pepper flakes)
- 3 tablepoons Cornstarch
- garnish Sesame Seeds & Green Onions
Method
Step 1
Combine all ingredients besides short ribs into slow cooker and stir.
Step 2
Add short ribs and coat in the liquid.
Step 3
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
Step 4
Throughout cook time, baste the ribs in the sauce. Half way through, turn ribs over and continue to cook.
Step 5
Once cooked, remove 1 1/2 cups of liquid and use to cook rice!
Step 6
Add 3 tablespoons of cornstarch to 1/4 cup cold water and combine. Add to slow cooker and let cornstarch cook and thicken for 20 minutes.
Step 7
Serve with rice and cooked veggies - garnish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and diced green onions!
