ingredients
For the Pumpkin Cold Foam
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, plus more for garnish
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin spice simple syrup (store-bought or homemade)
ingredients
For the Espresso Martini
- 1 ounce freshly brewed espresso
- 1 1/2 ounce vanilla vodka
- 3/4 ounce Kahlua
- 3/4 ounce pumpkin spice simple syrup (store-bought or homemade)
- Espresso beans (optional), for garnish
Method
Step 1
Make the Pumpkin Cold Foam: In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, pumpkin pie spice, and pumpkin spice simple syrup.
Step 2
Using a frother or whisk, froth the mixture until it becomes thick and creamy, being careful not to over-whip it into whipped cream. If it does turn into whipped cream, don’t worry—it will still taste delicious!
Step 3
Prepare the Espresso Martini: In a cocktail shaker, combine the freshly brewed espresso, vanilla vodka, Kahlua, and pumpkin spice simple syrup. Shake the mixture vigorously to chill it.
Step 4
After shaking, allow the mixture to rest for a moment before pouring. This helps reduce the amount of foam, allowing the cold foam to sit nicely on top.
Step 5
Pour the espresso martini mixture into a chilled glass. Top with the pumpkin cold foam, adding as much as you desire.
Step 6
Sprinkle additional pumpkin pie spice over the cold foam and add a few espresso beans for garnish, if desired.
