"This may be an unpopular opinion. But I don’t think all the joking about coronavirus and how people are dealing with it is very funny. Although I feel confident about my own health, I think it’s important to consider that we don’t know everyone else’s situation before judging or joking. And I’m all about taking a little extra care right now because of the people we come into contact with that may not be as strong or healthy. Have you been taking any extra steps? For me, this looks like minimizing stress which I know plays a large part in my immune health, washing my hands a little more than usual and incorporating more healthy food. Luckily, it’s been really popular to add functional ingredients to cocktails and mocktails and kombucha is one of my favorite additions. I love that it’s full of probiotics and supports a happy gut. And sipping on it is way more enjoyable than taking a pill. If you know me, you know I'm a big kombucha fan and have just a *few* cocktail recipes with the stuff. This Gin Watermelon Kombucha Crush is my latest favorite. So if you are hanging at home a little more than usual right now, kick back, have a kombucha cocktail (or mocktail) and take a deep breath!"

Summer is near so let's make some colorful summer cocktails! This watermelon and gin cocktail gets a refreshing finish with bubbly Kombucha!

ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces gin
  • 3 ounces sparkling lemonade
  • 2 ounces watermelon juice
  • 1/4 ounce lime juice
  • Splash flavored kombucha (I used GT's Kombucha Gingerberry)

Method

  • Step 1

    Combine all ingredients except kombucha in a glass and stir. Fill with crushed ice and top with kombucha.
