Warding off colds with any/everything fermented, spicy, gingery, garlicky, brothy ? . This lacto-fermented passion fruit soda is one of my favourite drinks to make when I want something tart and refreshing. That it’s full of gut-healthy bacteria and enzymes is just an added bonus! Sourdough starter on day 12. It died midway through but I managed to get it back going and now it’s real active. Trying out some pretzels made with the discard today to see how the flavour is. Do you have any unfed/discard recipes you love?

I posted a recipe for thick & chewy oatmeal cookies with millet and dark chocolate on @baked_theblog aaaaages ago (linked in profile) and it remains my go-to recipe for mostly healthy, super hearty oatmeal cookies. I switch up the ingredients based on what we have. These ones are double coconut with golden raisins and white chocolate. 🍪✨ . . . . . .
