We took inspiration from the South to create this comforting Thanksgiving menu. Bring on the collard greens, cornbread and pecan pie! Plus, did we mention there’s a bacon wrapped turkey involved?! Here's our take on a Southern-inspired Thanksgiving menu featuring amazing recipes from the #feedfeed community!

THE GROCERY LIST
(the must-haves!)

1 bunch fresh thyme
1 bunch fresh rosemary
1 pound carrots
8 ounces cremini mushrooms
1 large leek
1 pound baby potatoes
1 bunch lacinato kale
1 pound collard greens
2 onions
1 bunch celery
1 bunch fresh parsley
3-4 lb boneless turkey breast (or more if needed, this will serve about 6)
1 pound bacon 
1 packet or 2 1/4 tsp. active dry yeast
1 small bag brown rice flour (or replace with all purpose flour)
1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas 
3 quarts chicken stock or vegetable stock
1 (14 ounce) can Great Northern beans
1 (9 ounce) bag chocolate chips
1 pound raw pecans
1 quart almond milk
1 small jar caramel sauce
1 sleeve graham crackers
1 can (15 ounce) pumpkin puree
1 bottle bourbon
1 (10 ounce) bag frozen peas
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1 pint heavy cream
1 batch cooked and cooled cornbread
5-6 slices sandwich bread

2 heads garlic
5 pounds flour

UP TO ONE WEEK AHEAD:

Slow Cooker Cornbread Stuffing by @wifemamafoodie

Worried about oven space on the big day? Try this slow-cooker cornbread stuffing. Just toss all of the ingredients in your slow-cooker in the morning and you’ll have warm stuffing ready to serve come dinner time.

It wouldn’t be a holiday in the south (or anywhere is our book) without a platter of deviled eggs. We love how Dale uses a touch of whole grain mustard and buttermilk in the yolk mixture.
