THE GROCERY LIST
(the must-haves!)

1 medium zucchini 
2 honey nut squash 
1 small butternut squash
1 sweet red pepper
1 head cauliflower 
1 bunch fresh parsley
1 bunch scallions
2 (5 ounce) containers baby spinach
1 (13.5 ounce) jar preserved lemons
2 large sugar pie pumpkins
2 lemons 
1 head purple cabbage
1 head romaine
2 avocados
1 bunch cilantro
1 pound carrots
1 bunch celery
3 onions
2 green bell peppers
1 red bell pepper
1 large poblano pepper
2 serrano chiles
1 bunch chives
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 cup shredded leftover chicken
1 (14.5 ounce) can chickpeas
1 pound bag coconut flour
1 (16 ounce) jar cashew butter
1 quart unsweetened almond milk
3 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
1 (16 ounce) package cheese tortellini
1 dark beer (or replace with chicken stock or water)
3 quarts vegetable broth
1 (24 ounce) pack old fashioned corn grits
1 pound black rice
1 (7 ounce) can chipotle peppers in adobe sauce
1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
2 (14.5 ounce) cans red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (14.5 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
4 ounces Halloumi
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 quart buttermilk
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
2 pounds ground beef ( or turkey if you prefer)
 

PANTRY ESSENTIALS

1 dozen eggs
1 pound unsalted butter
Milk
Half and half
Simply Organic Dried Sage
Simply Organic Ground Nutmeg

Simply Organic Chili Powder
Simply Organic Pumpkin Spice
Simply Organic Pure Vanilla Extract
Garlic
Sesame oil
Tahini
Baking soda
Maple syrup
Coconut oil
Whole wheat flour

OPTIONAL
(things that will add great flavor but are not required)

THE RECIPES

If you can't get your hands on black rice, any variety would work here. This dish comes together super quickly so we're assigning a little homework! While the vegetables roast, make pumpkin puree so you can use it all week long. Follow the recipe linked above and store it in the fridge or freezer to use throughout the week.

Feedfeed Tip To get fluffy rice, be sure to rinse the uncooked rice in water until it runs clear to ensure the grains do not stick together once cooked.
