Iron Cast Barbecued Chestnuts
One of my favorite winter treats; iron cast barbecued chestnuts. Here is how to cook them: 1) Cut a line across the round part, deep enough to reach the nut flesh. 2) Put them in an iron cast pan, along with half a cup of water. 3) Place the pan on your BBQ. 4) Turn the heat to high and close the lid. 5) Wait for the water to evaporate and the bottom of the not shells to start charring. 6) Be extremely careful, don't try to pick up the pan, just scoop the nuts out, keep the pan in there until it cools down.
