Refreshing my system from Easter weekend with a lot of salads! Starting with this quick bite at Yeti in Glen Ellen. This is a shout out to #WineCountry folks to eat more greens and to #eatlocal here in #Sonoma County! This is a favorite with #Tikka Chicken, crispy lettuce, #avocado and honey-mustard vinaigrette. I'm easing back into carb-freedoms so I had the #papadum too. Okay, and a glass of chilled Sauvignon Blanc! (The green notes of #sauvignonblanc go beautifully with #Indian #Curry). #healthyish #foodandwine

Inspired by our #rainydaybitescookbookclub, I whipped up a @rick_bayless #Mexican salsa #recipe: 2 jalapeño, 1 large tomato, one pack cherry tomatoes (all #organic) and puréed with 3 garlic, 1 cup cilantro and half white onion. Then tossed thawed wild #shrimp in #taco seasoning, and flash cooked. Drizzled with @ruthreichl's lime +sour cream sauce. (Secret It's#ALWAYS perfect for any kind of spicy food.) Patio plates thanks to @target @marimekkodesignhouse YES: I was even wearing #Marimekko. 💞 Paired with our very dry, very cold Rosé of Syrah! Rather #delicious! And PS By grinds I mean @lesliejarrett and @rainydaybites 💋
Spruced up trusty #carneasada #Tacos with roasted jalapeño, garlic, and tomato salsa. Being that I'm still on the mend, I took short cuts: garlic confit (8 cloves) then roasted everything halved. Puréed together, salted, and drizzled away. Garnished with Queso Fresco, cilantro, white onion, and lime. Divine!
