ingredients
- 1 block extra firm tofu
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tabelspoon chipotle in adobo
- 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 red capsicum, diced
- 1 tablespoon oil
Method
Step 1
In a large bowl, crumble the tofu with your hands to really small pieces
Step 2
Add all the ingredients, except onion and capsicum, and mix well to combine
Step 3
Heat a large pan to medium-high, add oil, once hot add onion and capsicum, cook for about 2 minutes, add tofu mix, and spread well, cook, stirring occasionally, till is slightly browned, about 15-20min.
Step 4
Serve on bread with your favorite toppings! Enjoy!
