ingredients

  • 1 cup softened butter or margarine
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 room temperature eggs
  • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/3 cup toffee bits

Method

  • Step 1

    Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Mix in vanilla extract.

  • Step 2

    Sift in flour, corn starch, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix to a soft dough yet firm enough to hold its shape when baked. Mix in the butterscotch chips and toffee bits.

  • Step 3

    Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheets and bake in 350 F oven for 10-12 minutes. Makes 4-5 dozen cookies.
