My secret to getting a super fluffy and pillowy soft French toast is to use a thick piece of brioche bread and soak it overnight in cream! I then pan fry it in brown butter to get that crisp outside with a soft and gooey center!

ingredients

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 brioche slices
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons brown butter, for frying

Method

  • Step 1

    Combine your heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla. Cut two thick pieces of brioche bread and place in a deep bowl. Pour the cream mixture on top and cover to let it sit in the fridge overnight.

  • Step 2

    Remove the brioche slices. Add the egg, cinnamon, and vanilla to the leftover cream. Put the brioche slices back in the cream to coat all sides.

  • Step 3

    Fry in a pan until all sides are crispy and golden brown. Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy while it’s warm!
