ingredients
Yaki Onigiri
- 300 grams cooked rice
- 3 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds

Dipping Sauce
- 3 teaspoons soy sauce
- 3 teaspoons mirin
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
Method
Step 1
Combine cooked rice, sesame oil and sesame seeds.
Step 2
Use wet hands to form the onigiri shape (pack tightly so it doesn’t fall apart).
Step 3
Oil the pan and grill (or pan-fry) the rice balls. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce.
Step 4
Once the balls turn crispy on both sides, brush the sauce on top (of both sides) and grill until golden.
Step 5
Wrap with nori and serve
