7 slices thick cut bacon
2lbs shrimp
1/4 cup green onions
5 cups chicken broth
1 1/2 cups grits
4 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon Johnny's (no msg)
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup water

Dice the bacon, cook until crispy & set aside. Reserve 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the pan. While the pan is on medium high, add the shrimp, garlic powder, smoked paprika, green onion & water. The water helps to deglaze the pan and make a sauce.

In another pan add the chicken broth, butter and Johnny's. Once this comes to a boil, turn it down to medium heat and add the grits and make sure there's no lumps. Total cook time for the grits is 6-7 minutes.

Dish a cup of grits in a bowl, spoon on the shrimp and some sauce. Finish with bacon and a little flat leaf parsley"
