For fun, cook with a newer vintage (ex 2014) of the same white wine (varietal and label) -- just a year or two older -- that you later enjoy with Dinner. Infusing two subtly different years' worth of wine flavors into the same culinary experience. This Egg Pappardelle with Duck and White Wine Ragù by @skye_mcalpine is a great dish with which to try this.
Slow cooking duck legs is the easiest thing in the world and tastes like a million bucks. Egg Pappardelle with Duck and White Wine Ragu by @skye_mcalpine would go beautifully with a light bodied Pinot Noir, or better yet a non-buttery/not oaky Chardonnay or white French Burgundy. Something with moderate heft in the mouthfeel but nothing to overwhelm the delicate flavors of duck, sage, parsley, and fresh pasta. For fun? Cook with a newer vintage (ex 2013 or '14) of the same white wine -- just a year or two older -- that you will later enjoy with Dinner! #Heaven.
