ingredients

Standard macaroni and cheese

  • 2 cups gluten free macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons gluten free all purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups mlik/alternative
  • 1 1/2 cups grueyere cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper

Method

Standard macaroni and cheese

  • Step 1

    Boil macaroni until al dente. In a cast iron or oven safe skillet, melt 4tbs butter. Whisk in equal parts glluten free flour until well combined.

  • Step 2

    Slowly whisk in your milk/mlik alternative. Add spices/seasonings and grated cheeses. Stir to combine.

  • Step 3

    Fold in cooked noodles, top with more cheese or breadcrumbs if desired. Bake @ 350 for 20 minutes or until lightly browned ontop.

  • 1/2 cup gluten free breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup gluten free all purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, whisked

  • Step 1

    Once macaroni and cheese mixture are folded together... (or with leftover baked macaroni and cheese!) allow to cool in fridge for at least 2 hours.

  • Step 2

    When macaroni and cheese is cooled... use your hands to form spheres of desired size.

  • Step 3

    Take each sphere, and coat in first: flour. second: egg. thrid: breadcrumbs. Fry in oil until browned on all sides!
