ingredients
- 3/4 cup diced seeded jalapeno
- 3/4 cup diced yellow onion
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- salt and pepper
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 6 ounces room temperature cream cheese
- 3/4 cup plus more, if needed shredded cheddar
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400. Meanwhile, heat a cast iron skillet with olive oil.
Step 2
Add jalapeno, and onion to pan. Cook until softened and fragrant.
Step 3
Add spices, and cream.
Step 4
Add cream cheese, stir to melt.
Step 5
Add cheddar, and stir to melt and thicken.
Step 6
Top with additional cheddar, and any remaining jalapeno pieces.
Step 7
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden, crispy, and bubbling.
Step 8
Allow to cool slightly before serving with chips, or veggies.
