ingredients
- 1/4 cup grainy mustard
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon hot honey
- 1 maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon water
- 4 bone in skin on chicken thighs
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1 brie wheel
- 2 sliced honey crisp apples
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup gluten free flour
- 4 slices cooked & chopped bacon
Method
Step 1
Mix together grainy mustard, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, hot honey, maple syrup and water. Set aside.
Step 2
Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, red pepper flakes and ground mustard on both sides.
Step 3
Drizzle Wirth avocado oil, and sprinkle with flour. Shake off excess.
Step 4
Preheat oven to 350.
Step 5
Place chicken skin side down in an oiled cast iron skillet on medium heat.
Step 6
Cook for about 10 minutes per side.
Step 7
Score brie wheel, and place cut side up in the center of your cast iron skillet.
Step 8
Add apples, and pecans.
Step 9
Drizzle over the hot honey mustard sauce. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Step 10
Finish with fresh basil, chopped bacon, and a final drizzle of hot honey. Serve with toasted baguette.
