ingredients

  • 1/2 chopped Yellow onion
  • 2 cloves minced Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 1/8 teaspoon Cayenne
  • 1/8 teaspoon White pepper
  • A pinch of Salt
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Liquid aminos
  • 2 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoon Corn starch
  • 2 whisked Eggs
  • to garnish Chives

Method

  • Step 1

    Sauté onion and garlic in oil of choice in a sauce pan until fragrant.

  • Step 2

    Add spices, and broth.

  • Step 3

    Add soy sauce, and sesame oil. Bring to a boil.

  • Step 4

    Whisk in corn starch. Whisk well, to leave no clumps.

  • Step 5

    Reduce to simmer, stir, and while still stirring (gently) pour in egg.

  • Step 6

    Turn off heat, add chives or spring onion.
