ingredients

  • 7 ounces shredded gruyere (or other hard, low moisture cheese)
  • 1 ounce softened cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup fine almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • flaky salt
  • 1 egg

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350. Combine flour, gruyere, and cream cheese in a bowl. Toss to distribute flour.

  • Step 2

    Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between until a cheesy dough forms. (about 1.5 minutes total)

  • Step 3

    Allow to cool to the touch, add egg and use your hands to fold and incorporate.

  • Step 4

    Transfer to a small cast iron or oven safe dish.

  • Step 5

    Sprinkle with dried garlic, parsley, and chives. Drizzle with olive oil.

  • Step 6

    Bake 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle with flaky salt, and extra shredded cheese if desired.
