Brown butter double chocolate chunk cookies

ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 stick browned butter, cooled.
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups gluten free baking flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 ounces milk chocolate chunks
  • ounces white chocolate chips

Method

  • Step 1

    Brown butter in sauce pan. Set aside to cool.

  • Step 2

    In a bowl, combine sugars, salt, and browned butter. Whisk for 5-7 minutes, until a light paste like texture forms.

  • Step 3

    Add vanilla, and egg. Whisk for another 2 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Sift in flour, and baking powder. Whisk to combine.

  • Step 5

    Fold in chocolate chunks/chips. Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes, up to over night.

  • Step 6

    Place tablespoon sized scoops onto baking tray. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Until golden brown on edges. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
