"Tiramisu Cupcakes: a little"pick me up" for Fairfield's All Things Italian Street Festival!
This was a fun excuse to revisit a @marthastewart inspired recipe (and one of my very favorite desserts) using some fancy techniques; extra yolks and the "warm egg foaming method" give the cake a spongey, ladyfinger-like texture with real vanilla bean for authentic flavor. Marsala wine and fresh-pulled espresso combine for a dangerously good soaking syrup, finished with a simple Mascarpone Cream and a dusting of unsweetened cocoa powder.
