ingredients

  • 1/2 cup almonds
  • 1/4 cup pistachios
  • 1/2 cup cashews
  • 25 green cardamom
  • 2 tablespoons melon seeds
  • 2 tablespoons dried rose
  • 2 tablespoons fennel seeds
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • a few strands saffron
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Method

  • Step 1

    Add all the ingredients to a grinder.

  • Step 2

    Use the PULSE feature to grind. Cool the mixture in between.

  • Step 3

    Store in an airtight container.

  • Step 4

    Do not over grind the nuts. Take your time with the process. Over grinding will start to release the natural oil in the nuts and the mixture will become sticky.

Making Thandai Drink

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Thandai powder
  • A couple of drops rose water
  • crushed by hand Rose petals

  • Step 1

    Heat 1 cup of milk till warm.

  • Step 2

    Add 2 tsp of thandai powder.

  • Step 3

    Add 2 tsp of sugar and a couple of drops of rose water. Stir till combined.

  • Step 4

    Garnish with crushed rose petals. Serve chilled.
