Paneer Cheddar Wraps
"Home made paneer in a tortilla wrap with greens. It is simple and delicious. If you want a quicker version, store-bought paneer works as well. Just omit step 1 and follow the rest of the recipe."

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 3 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 4 tortilla wraps
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • salt
  • 1 medium diced tomato
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese
  • handful of arugula


  • Step 1

    Make the paneer. Heat the milk in a heavy bottomed pan. Stir 2 tsp lemon juice in it. Turn the gas off. Mix and let it sit for 10 mins. Strain and squeeze all the water out. paneer is ready. Knead and crumble the paneer and keep it aside.

  • Step 2

    Heat oil in the pan and sauté onions till translucent. Add in ginger and garlic paste, turmeric, salt, cumin powder, red chili powder and cook for a few seconds.

  • Step 3

    Add tomato and cook for 2-3 mins. Add crumbled paneer. Mix in chopped coriander leaf and 1 tsp lemon juice.

  • Step 4

    Heat tortilla. Fold 2 slices of cheese and put inside tortilla. Top with 2 tbsp of the paneer mixture. Put arugula on top and fold the tortillas. Cut into halves. Serve.
