ingredients
- 2 cans black beans
- 2 tablespoon oil
- salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
- 2 teaspoon carom seeds
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 teaspoon ginger paste
- 2 teaspoon ginger paste
- 2 tablespoon chana masala powder
- 1 large chopped tomato
- 2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaf
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
Method
Step 1
Set the Ninja Foodie XL to SAUTÉ. Add cumin seeds and carom seeds. Fry onions. Add garlic and ginger paste. Sauté for a minute till the raw smell goes.
Step 2
Add chopped tomato. Add Chana masala powder. Let the tomato turn to mushy. Use a masher if needed.
Step 3
Add salt, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder and red chili powder. Cook the mixture till the oil starts to float.
Step 4
Add in 2 cans of black beans. Add 1 cup of water.
Step 5
Set to PRESSURE COOK. Set TIME to 2 mins. Let the pressure release by itself for 5 mins. After 2 mins turn the valve to VENT.
Step 6
Put in chopped coriander and fresh lemon juice. Stir and serve with additional chopped coriander.
