ingredients

  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 4 tabelspoons melted Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/3 cups Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Method

  • Step 1

    In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  • Step 2

    Add in the buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined - a few small lumps are okay.

  • Step 3

    Grease your waffle maker and turn it on. Give it a few minutes to get hot. Scoop the batter on to the waffle maker, making sure to cover it completely. (The amount of servings this makes depends on the size and shape of your waffle maker. For me, this made 6 4X4 square waffles.) Shut the lid, and allow the waffles to cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they are a light golden brown.

  • Step 4

    Repeat this process and enjoy! I highly recommend topping them with real maple syrup and sliced peaches.
