ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch salt
  • pinch pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon dill
  • 4 tablespoons cold and cut into cubes butter
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Method

  • Step 1

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, onion powder, dried onions, garlic powder, parsley, and dill.

  • Step 2

Add the cubed cold butter, and cut it in with a fork or a pastry cutter until small crumbs form. Gradually stir in the buttermilk to create a dough.

  • Step 3

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Roll out your dough on a floured surface until it’s about 1/2 inch thick. Using a 2 1/2 inch round cutter (or a glass that is close to that diameter), cut out six biscuits. You’ll have to roll the dough scraps together again after cutting the first few.

  • Step 4

Place your biscuits on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. You want them to be touching slightly. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove them from the oven and place the biscuits on a metal rack to cool. Enjoy!
