For the Turkey:

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil (or olive oil)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon Montreal burger or steak seasoning

  • Shredded iceberg lettuce (or romaine)
  • Onion slices
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Dill pickle chips, quartered
  • 2 avocados, sliced `
  • Shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons relish (or finely chopped dill pickles)
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon coconut aminos (or Worcestershire sauce)

  • Extra shredded cheddar cheese
  • Crumbled bacon pieces

Method

  • Step 1

    Cook the turkey: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground turkey and season with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and Montreal seasoning. Cook until browned and crumbled. Remove from heat and set aside.

  • Step 2

    Make the sauce: In a small bowl, mix all sauce ingredients until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

  • Step 3

    Chop lettuce and divide among four bowls.

  • Step 4

    Add a scoop of ground turkey to the center of each bowl. Surround with cherry tomatoes, onion slices, pickles, avocado, and cheese.

    Drizzle with the special sauce and top with bacon or extra cheese, if using. Serve immediately
