- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons sweet cream flavored coffee creamer
- 1 tablespoon dried unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut milk
- 1/4 cup shaved coconut, toasted, plus more for garnish
- whipped cream, as desired (for topping)
- Toasted almond slices, optional, for topping
- Cinnamon, for garnish
Method
Step 1
In a microwave-safe cereal bowl, combine the oats, salt, water, coffee creamer and shredded coconut. Stir and microwave on high for 2 minutes and 30 seconds, or as instructed on the oatmeal product's packaging. Mix the coconut milk and shaved coconut into the cooked oats.
Step 2
Top the oatmeal with more of the shaved coconut, whipped cream, almonds and cinnamon. Enjoy!
