French Apple Tart

ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 large apples, cored, halved and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup apple compote
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 tablespoon raw cane sugar
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9-inch tart pan; set aside.
Step 2
Roll the dough into a circle and set it in the prepared tart pan. Cover the bottom of the tart with compote. Top it with apples, starting from the end. Arrange the apples in concentric circles, facing in opposite directions for each circle.
Step 3
Place tart on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Add butter to the top of the apples and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 10 more minutes, until golden brown.
