ingredients

  • 8 pieces finely chopped Tomatoes
  • 7 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Flakes
  • 12 pieces Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Tomato Ketchup
  • 2 pieces Dried Red Chilli
  • 1 teaspoon White Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • To Taste Salt
  • To Taste Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Method

  • Step 1

    Add olive oil and garlic cloves in a pan. Put the pan on low flame. Keep stirring for 3-4 mins

  • Step 2

    Add dried red chili, tomatoes, salt and black pepper and cook until the tomatoes are soft

  • Step 3

    Add chili flakes, oregano, 6-8 basil leaves and mix. Cook for 4-5 mins

  • Step 4

    Add ketchup, sugar and vinegar and cook for 1-2 mins

  • Step 5

    Adjust for salt, pepper and stir in fresh basil leaves. You can use it immediately as pizza sauce or pasta sauce or let it cool down and store in the fridge for 3-4 days
