- 1 14.5 ounce can jackfruit
- 1/ 4 cup BBQ Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Paprika
- 1/ 2 tablespoon Coconut Sugar
- 1/ 2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1/ 2 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
Drain the jackfruit and break it apart into pieces using the back of a fork until its shredded.
Combine all the spices in a bowl.
Heat a pan on a medium heat and add the oil. Once the pan is hot add the jackfruit and spices and combine well. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the BBQ sauce and combine well and cook for another 5 minutes, or until jackfruit is warm throughout.
For the rest
Personally I like to serve it with some oven baked pineapple slices, fresh veg and sprouts and home-made slaw. Combine raw thinly sliced purple cabbage with, sesame seeds, fresh lime juices and for extra taste you can add sesame oil (Optional), mix well. Add some avocado to the top and bottom of the bun and enjoy!
