Homemade Gravy Powder with Porcini

(0)
"This is simple and quick! I seasoned it well, as I didn’t want to use broth granules, but just seasoning to my liking. Of course you can use different mushrooms, or dried tomatoes, herbs, whatever you like. You simply have to try until you have found the mixture you like most."

ingredients

  • 100 g Breadcrumbs
  • 40 g dried Porcini Mushrooms
  • 30 g dried Onion Granules
  • 20 g dried Garlic
  • 20 g Paprika
  • 20 g Black Pepper
  • 20 g Salt
  • 10 g dried Oregano
  • 10 g dried Rosemary
  • 5 g Chili Powder

Method

  • Step 1

Mix all ingredients in a blender and pulse for a while until you have a fine powder. I use the pulse option, as it will “blow up” the ingredients and mix them properly.

  • Step 2

Fill into clean jars and close tightly. In a closed jar you can keep the powder up to one year.

  • Step 3

Just give the powder into some cream or broth or even water and mix well. Bring it up to a boil and cook a few minutes until it thickens. If the sauce does not get thick enough, add a little cornstarch.
