ingredients

  • 3 Egg-whites
  • 1 Pinch of Salt
  • 75 g Icing Sugar
  • 75 g Caster Sugar
  • 250 g ground Hazelnuts
  • 25 whole Hazelnuts

Method

  • Step 1

    Beat the egg-white with the pinch of salt until very stiff. Then add the icing sugar, go on beating until shiny.

  • Step 2

    Add the nuts and the sugar and fold it in carefully. Fill it into a piping bag with the star shaped front and pipe some macaroons onto a baking tray.

  • Step 3

    Top them with a hazelnut and bake in the oven at 220 C for 6-10 minutes.

  • Step 4

    You can keep the cookies in an airtight box for approx. 2 weeks.

  • Step 5

    Try them with Walnuts, Almonds, Coconut, Chocolate, Lemon or Orange Zest.
