Advents Apple-Amaretto Cake

ingredients
- 300 gram Flour
- 1 Egg
- 110 gram Sugar
- 1 zested Orange
- 1 tsp Vanilla Sugar
- 180 gram Butter cut into pieces
- 5 Apples
- 1 juiced Lemon
- 100 gram Amarettini
- 20 ml Amaretto Liqueur
Method
Step 1
Mix the flour with the sugar, vanilla sugar, orange zest and the butter pieces, knead it quickly together to a soft dough. Put into the fridge for 30 minutes.
Step 2
For the filling peel the apples and dice them, put them into the lemon juice. Leave 1/3 of the dough back into the fridge but roll the 2/3 of the dough out thinly.
Step 3
Crumble together a baking paper and put it under the water, shake water off and put it into the baking dish. This way it will fit perfectly.
Step 4
Put the dough into the baking dish and pull the sides up.
Step 5
Crumble the Amaretti cookies and put them onto the bottom. Add the apples and flatten them, then pour the Amaretto Liqueur over the apples.
Step 6
Roll the 1/3 of the dough out thinly (I did that in between cling-foil) and put it onto the cake. Push the sides together.
Step 7
Bake in the oven at 200 C for approx. 40 minutes. Let cool and sprinkle with icing sugar.
