Poached Pears Ingredients
6 pears, cored, peeled and halved
2 cups of juice–mango or apple (I use a blend; make sure it’s heavy and unfiltered)
1 scant tsp Simply Organic Cinnamon
½ tsp Simply Organic Cardamom
Bring the juice to a boil. Cover and lower heat to medium-low or low. Cook covered for 15 minutes. Flip them over, cover and cook for 15 more minutes. Flip them again and cook for another 15 minutes, until the sauce is thickened. If at any point you need more juice, feel free to add by the ¼ cup. Every stove and pan is different, so these can require more or less time. Cook until they are done to your liking.
Ginger Vanilla Whipped Cream Ingredients
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 Tbsp sugar
1/2 – 1 tsp Simply Organic Ground Ginger Root
Chill bowl and beaters. Whip cream until thick. Add sugar and beat some more. Then add the vanilla and ginger and stir.
