ingredients
- 2 cups Onions – small diced
- 2 cups Celery – small diced
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 5 cups Quaker Oats 1-Minute Oats
- 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Celery Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 2 tablepoons Chopped Sage, Rosemary and Thyme
- 2 cups Chicken or Vegetable Broth
Method
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350F.
Step 2
In a large, deep pan add in your onions, celery, butter and 1 tsp salt.
Step 3
Over medium heat, melt the butter and the onion and celery cook down until they are soft. About 10 minutes.
Step 4
Add in your oats, all the seasonings and herbs.
Step 5
Add in your two cups of broth. Stir until combined. (It should be clumpy not soupy)
Step 6
Pour the mixture into a casserole dish, cover and bake until hot, for about 30 minutes.
