ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Lavender & Vanilla Infused Sugar (below)
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tablepsoon Honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lavender Extract
  • 3 Limes
  • 3/4 cup Tequila

Lavender & Vanilla Infused Sugar

  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 Vanilla Beans – split and the bean removed
  • 1 tablepsoon dried culinary lavender.

Method

Lavender & Vanilla Infused Sugar

  • Step 1

    In a bowl, add your sugar, scrape in the bean, add in the pods and your dried lavender. Using your fingers press the vanilla and lavender into the sugar to wake up the flavors as you combine the ingredients.

Margarita

  • Step 1

    Make your simple syrup: In a small pot, add your lavender and vanilla sugar mix, water and honey. Over medium heat, stir and warm up until the sugar and honey are fully dissolved – 3-5 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Remove from the heat and add in your lavender extract.

  • Step 3

    Pour into a pitcher and put it in the refrigerator until cooled.

  • Step 4

    While the simple sugar cools down. Squeeze the lime juice out of 3 limes.

  • Step 5

    Once cool, combine the simply syrup, lime juice and tequila. Stir to combine.

  • Step 6

    To Serve: Rub a wedge of lime around the rim of your glass and press down the glass rim into the infused sugar. Add ice. Pour in your lavender margarita. Garnish with lime wedge or fresh lavender.
