New Year's Day

A Note From Julie Resnick

Yikes, who needs a bloody mary? Everyone knows resolutions don't REALLY start until the 2nd. So kick back with some comfort food and try to recover from all that champagne. While you're at it, kick off 2016 right with 'lucky' foods like grapes, cooked greens, black-eyed peas and pork.

Fresh Orange Juice And Pomegranate Kombucha Mimosas

Your New Years Day brunch menu is now complete with our Pomegranate Kombucha Mimosa! This stunning mimosa is a twist off of the traditional champagne and OJ combo with the addition of bursting with flavor pomegranate seeds and probiotic rich @LIVE_beverages Kombucha. It's a nice and light cocktail with only 3 grams of sugar so you won't experience any unpleasant side-effects that you might after consuming an overly sweet, sugary cocktail. No one has time for that! Made with @live_beverages Dreamy Orange Kombucha.

Lemon & Herb Roasted Chicken

I feel like I could literally pop from all the amazing food I have eaten this holiday so far. We are planning our New Year's Day dinner and I'm cooking this chicken and we are also cooking pork too and all the trimmings. Just thinking about it at the moment makes me feel a bit sick though as i feel like I have eaten so much, in the meantime I need some ideas for easy healthier recipes for the rest of the week as I can't cope with any more rich food, I'm thinking of a chickpea stew or soup how are you coping with all the holiday food?

A Note From Julie Resnick

Chicken Fried Steak Fingers with Creole Dipping Sauce & Honey? Sign me up! Twice. That said, the spicy savory goodness here will overwhelm most wines you pour in your glass. Be Dollar Smart & still Delicious: Opt for a less expensive dry, crisp white like steel-fermented Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc (non-grassy.) The tighter textures in both wines will lend a nice counter point to such moist, mouthwatering chicken fried perfectly by @spicysouthernkitchen
