Recipe Card

ingredients

  • 300 gram soft brown sugar
  • 300 milliliter sunflower oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoons tsp vanilla extract
  • 300 gram grated carrots
  • 300 gram Plain flour
  • 1 teaspoons bicarbonate soda
  • 1 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 100 gram chopped walnuts

Method

  • Step 1

    Sift all of the dry ingredients and set aside.

  • Step 2

    In bowl, combine brown sugar, sunflower oil, vanilla essence and eggs until the sugar is dissolved.

  • Step 3

    Mix carrot with the batter.

  • Step 4

    Once mixed, add sifted dry ingredients into the batter. Batch by batch.

  • Step 5

    Lastly, coat walnut with a tablespoon of flour and add into the batter.

  • Step 6

    Just give it a small fold.

  • Step 7

    Transfer it inside a baking pan 7" and bake in 180c oven for 45 minutes.
